How can we help you chill?

Broadcast to me on DAB digital radio
Chill broadcasts on DAB in London and Birmingham. DAB broadcasting is great for listeners with DAB radios, but it's also expensive for the station. If DAB is your top priority, let us know. But if you're happy listening in other ways (online, etc) maybe there are other things you'd rather we concentrate on?

Make more music podcasts
We would love to share more chillout music with you for free. We can't do this with commercial music because of the costs (it would be like buying an album for every listener...) so it takes lots of time to find good music whose writers want to share for free. How much would you like it?

We are now making it possible to “Chill on demand” by uploading many of our special weekly mix shows to mixcloud.com – including SimpleCity, Arctic Circle and new mixes from Fluidnation. More to follow.

Put better track info on Chill's home page
We know how much you like to know who plays on Chill. To avoid talking over the music, we broadcast the title and artist of each track digitally, and you can follow it on Twitter, Last.fm and our community home page. But we kept our main website super simple. Have you found it hard to find what you need? Let us know here or - even better - add a suggestion for exactly what you want.

We’ve updated the home page to include the song now playing + a more prominent link to our archive of previous tracks.
The page doesn’t yet auto-update – but it’s simple and quick to refresh the page, as it’s a very small amount of data.
We’ll build a better solution into the next version of the Chill website.

Play a wider variety of tunes
We look all over the world for tunes to help you chill. We're always adding more, but we keep within limits that help keep Chill feeling like Chill. Festivals play different kinds of tunes to create different moods. Should we? (If you want to suggest particular artists, please add those as new ideas!)

Make more "Living a Chilled Life" podcasts
We have had amazing responses from people following "Living a Chilled Life", which became the number 1 life coaching podcast on iTunes at launch! In a stressful time, should we make more?

Have more request shows on Chill
Do you want to control the music on Chill and share your choice of tunes? Maybe just a couple of favourites, maybe a whole hour's mix? Chill is based around sharing the music that helps you chill. Let us know if you want more involvement.

Make more meditation podcasts
We made 10 "Chill Meditation" podcasts last year which are available on iTunes. They have been downloaded nearly half a million times! Should we make more, or different ones?

Play more Sufjan Stevens
It's hard to argue with this. Or is it... You choose. If you'd like to suggest other artists, add a new suggestion and see if others agree.

Antiqcool acoustic songs
Most of our tracks have been released under a creative commons license and made freely available for radio stations and podcasters to use in their shows.
We are an independent record label not a big bad corporation out to sue you for file sharing, we WANT you to spread our music around.
With such an overcrowded market place giving away your music is essential in my opinion. The biggest problem for emerging indie artists today is obscurity, not piracy. To find out more listen to The Antiqcool Podcast.

iPhone app
Why not create a Chill iPhone app? Charge a pound or so to download & then pump the profit back into expanding the DAB coverage. Surely a win-win situation?

Like this idea! We’ve actually been getting quotes from developers for this. Now that it is so easy to listen to Chill for free on an iPhone, we don’t see an app as a hugely profitable thing, but to cover its costs we would need about 1500 people to pay £1 for it.
Getting that startup cash is a problem right now. But if anyone wants to offer to help, it might be doable.

Dance
Just put on your Earphones, listen to some chilled music you like, close your eyes, and start dancing. Dont do a specific dance, jut let the music guide your movements. You can do this wherever you are, forget about what sorrounds you.
